Build Day 235.....Brakes Completed

Cracked on with it today. Make up the last of the brake lines and bled the system. Brakes and all done now.

Build Day 234.....Brakes and Other Bits

Carried on with the brakes today. Mostly there now, but couldn't finish as I need a little more copper brake pipe. Will order some in the week.

Instead, I cracked on with some of the other little tidy up tasks: Strengthening the bonnet and re-working some of the fuel plumbing.

Build Day 233.....Brakes

I managed some time in the garage this weekend, but maybe not as much as I'd wished. Started on fitting the new brake lines, but have not finished this yet. Also fitted a new pair of wheel spacers on the front of the car. The original ones were not hub-centric, whereas these are.

Build Day 232.....Front Lights

Once again, it's been a little while since my last post. Was very busy on other things running up to Christmas. In January, I was in the garage a lot, but this was to give it a good clear out as it was full of junk.

Now that's sorted, I've got back a lot of room to get working on the car again.

Managed a day this weekend and have mainly concentrated on the front lights and indicators. These are now fully fitted, wired up and working.

I've also fitted a new lambda sensor for the engine and tided up some more of the wiring.

The car is now back up on axle stands to aid me fitting new brake hoses (professionally made this time, rather than the old home made ones I wasn't happy with). So, the jobs I have left are as follows:

• Fit new brake hoses and re-bleed brakes
• Finish fitting side repeaters
• Run engine with oil leak additive to hopefully clear up minor leak. This will also burn in the new catalytic converter.
• Set up tracking
• Set up headlight alignment
• General tidy up – sharp edge check etc.

And that should be it !
