Build Day 40.....Starting the Transmission Tunnel

More work done on the chassis today. Started and finished the bottom rails for the transmission tunnel. Once I've done the top part (next weekend maybe?) I'll post some more pictures of the chassis as it's really starting to take shape now.

Build Day 38 and 39.....Plodding Along

Well, what can I say about this weekends work? Basically, adding more and more to the chassis. It's starting to build up nicely now. Had to be careful about making sure of the mounting for the diff and the lower engine bay bars clearing the clutch mechanism OK, but so far it's all looking good.

Build Day 37.....Just a bit more on the Chassis

Have had a very busy weekend on other things, but did manage to get in the garage on Sunday morning for a couple of hours and continued to work on the chassis.

Build Days 35 and 36.....Grinding Aluminium and Trigonometry

Spent some time working on the car this weekend, although I don't have too much to show for it. Spent Saturday morning grinding off the old RWD differential part of the bellhousing. This was not required and would take up valuable space in the engine bay. Here are the before and after shots:

Gary came round to help in the afternoon and we did some more work to the chassis. He was a big help when we needed to use trigonometry to calculate some angles to cut the metal as I cannot remember maths formulae to save my life.

I spent Sunday doing some more work to the chassis, but it's here that I don't have too much to show as I spent a lot of time checking the fitment of the engine before I welded in some key bars. The Engine can only go so far back in the engine bay due to the starter motor, but cannot go too far forward due to other bars and the nose cone, so I had to make sure everything would fit without alteration to the chassis plans before I continued. Below is the progress as it stands now.
