Build Day 98.....Lower Harness Mounts

I've now also done the lower harness mounts, attached to the lower part of the chassis.

Finished the Rollover bars, complete with Harness Mounts. Here they are fabricated, prior to welding:



And here they are welded up and tacked on to the chassis:

Today I concentrated on the rear rollover bars/hoops. I'm adding in a horizontal tube on each of the two hoops to serve not only as extra strengthening, but also as a top mounting point for the harnesses. I will post some pics when they are done.

Build Day 95.....Steering Rack Mount

It's been a while since I did any work on the car, so today I was back in the garage with a vengeance. Firstly, the work at the back of the chassis is now complete:




The rollover bars in the pics are not attached yet - this is a job for another day.

The main job of today, though, was fabricating and attaching the mount for the steering rack:
