Build Day 94.....Rear Chassis Work

Continued with adding rear chassis tubes. Concentrated on strengthening the area where the rollover hoops will go.

Build Day 93....Handbrake Mount

I made up and tacked on the handbrake mount tonight. Starting to get through the various mounting brackets etc for the chassis. It's basically the steering rack and radiator/intercooler mountings left to do, but I can't do these yet until I get hold of a nosecone for the car (to make sure everything fits).

For the time being, until I find the right nosecone at the right price, I'm going to concentrate on the rear of the chassis where I'm yet to finish attaching various tubes.

Build Days 91 & 92.....Steering Column Again

The last two evenings have been spent completing the steering column mountings. Difficult job to all get lined up correctly so it's in the right position and not clashing with the pedals etc. Pretty much done now, but still needs a little tidying up:

Build Day 90.....Steering Column

After a bit of a break doing other things, I've spent a couple of hours tonight in the garage. Started looking at setting up the mountings for the Steering Column. Pretty much worked out it's position now. Started to make up the tubes for it, but not much to show yet.

Build Day 88 & 89.....More Pedals

I've been continuing to work on the pedals over the last couple of days. Almost complete now. I've used the Rover pedals, cut and shut them to be straight, then fabricated a mounting plate for them. To this plate is attached the Brake Master Cylinder (M/C) and the Clutch M/C. I've used the sierra M/C for the brake, mounting it at an angle so that the integral reservoir is level. A custom made push rod is used to actuate the M/C from the Rover pedal's Clevis Pin assembly. The Clutch M/C is un-modified as it is mounted the same as in the Rover. Build Day 87.....Pedals #1

OK, so I've continued modifying the pedals today. Coming along nicely but not much to show yet. Will show some pics when done.
