Build Day 166 & 167.....Water Pump and Fuel Tank

Made some good progress again this weekend. The thing I've been spending the most time on is designing and building the fuel tank. So far so good, but it's not complete yet. I will post pics when it's done.

The other thing I've done is to finally manage to work out how to fit the water pump. What I've done is modified the engine block water outlet I made earlier so that the water pump can bolt straight to it:




It's at a rather jaunty angle on purpose. This is to ensure the pump isn't too close to the exhaust.
I fitted it all to the car temporarily to make sure it all works:




As you can see, there is a slight issue with the water pipe fouling the flexi brake line. This should be solved with putting a slight kink in the pipe. I've now taken it all off again to paint the outlet.
